Cafes in BKK to visit

Going to do a blogpost on which cafes to go in BKK since some of my friends who are going to BKK are asking for it :) I only been to a few ones on my recent trip and I can't wait to explore more cafes which is already on my notebook already ;)

Cafes that I've visited and worth to go!! :D

1) Roast Cafe

I went here twice! The first time was for their dinner. I thought they serve all day breakfast but their brunch menu is only till 5.30pm. I was so disappointed initially but was rejoicing after I've tried their dinner menu :P

These were what we ordered for dinner:

This coffee "Magic" was recommended by the boss there and heavy caffeine-lovers will definitely love this! But pls do not drink this at night because I couldn't sleep the whole night after this! It is really a strong milk coffee drink!

My pasta choice would always be aglio olio and thus I ordered the Bacon and Garlic one. It is even served with poached egg! I love how they cook the pasta with garlic :P

Another MUSTTTT EAT on their dinner menu is the Seafood Risotto! Pls do not miss out on this! The best risotto I've ever tasted and I am sure going to order this when im back :D

And because it was so good, I came back with my friends a few days later to check out their highly-raved brunch.

Had to try this, esp when I am a matcha-lover~ Matcha float!

I was contemplating whether to get their hot chocolate and I guess I made the right choice! It doesn't taste like a normal chocolate drink because I found the the chocolate taste unique. Their chocolates are selected from a premium French chocolate called "Valrhona Chocolate".

And my Classic Eggs Benedict! Their eggs benedict was so-so though.

Their Pulled Pork Burger was very good! Served with BBQ pork, coleslaw with sour cream dressing~

For sandwich, we ordered the Crunchy Croque Monsieur which basically has ham, cheese, butter and cheese inside.

This dish is rather special and we waited 20 mins for it to be cooked. The boss was very nice and came to told us that the dish would need a longer time.

TATA~ The Cassoulet. It is a white bean stew with bacon, duck confit, garlic and sausage, looks mouthwatering right :P

Lastly, we ordered a Salmon Rosti to share because the picture of it on the menu looks so tempting hehe.

They are very generous with their salmon!

You wouldn't want to miss out on Roast ^^

For their address, check out their fb page here : https://www.facebook.com/roastbkk

Alight at Thong Lor BTS and it's a 15-20 mins walk from the BTS. Suggest taking a cab from the BTS because it's quite a long walk! It's at Soi 13, look out for the sign~

2) Mr Jones Orphanage

So after a good lunch/dinner at Roast, you could head to Mr Jones Orphanage for desserts which is just a level down from Roast:) Yes, they are just nearby to one another.

I was totally amazed and impressed by their decor!! Although I was still feeling hungry from the dinner at Roast, I did not hesitate to spend quite some time to take photos. Just too lovely ^^

So many teddy bears!

What we ordered~

Wanted to try this long ago and because the cake is photogenic :P

Lemon Meringue tart which was not too sweet and appetizing :)

Creme Brulee :D

3) Greyhound Cafe

Greyhound cafe is known for its buffalo wings and I was amazed by what their menu has to offer. They have such a wide selection of food. You can get Thai, Western, Chinese food etc etc. There's just too many! We took quite some time to decide what to order heh

Yay, happy tummies :D

Location: Siam Paragon 1st floor

4) After you Cafe

I bet most of you must have heard of this cafe too! Their desserts are so highly raved about. We had to queue for at least half an hour on a saturday noon to be seated.

Snapping photos while waiting ^^

But, their desserts will definitely not disappoint you :P I went back twice during the trip because I see the cafe almost everywhere in BKK!

DON"T miss out their honey toast!!

  1. Nice blog entry^^ just a few cafes to add to your list. Maybe you can try those next time you're here^^ there's Audrey (a smaller branch called petite Audrey at Siam center) I highly recommend their tom yum goong pizza and thai tea crepe cake. For desserts my all time favorite is definitely coffee bean by dao. I try not to go to the one at paragon cox when it gets really crowded you can't blame the staff for rushing around and not having the time and patience to serve you. I especially love the lady boss of that shop cox she's so friendly and caring to all her customers and she speaks really good English^^
