Nakhon has the BESSSTTT thai food! I used to patronize Ah Loy Thai in the past but the prices are getting steeper now.

Had dinner with the cousins and we had such a satisfying meal that night! Trying new dishes every time and the food is always awesome! *Thumbsuppppp*

There are so many people out there who are battling with cancer and all kind of illness everyday, what's mine compared to theirs? I will be strong and I must be!

BKK Part 1

My BKK trip seems long ago to me now. It's my second time there and I don't think I will ever be sick of this place haha. This time I came with my family and grandmother. So happy that this was my second trip of the year with fam as we haven't been to overseas tgt for many many years :)

We arrived around 6 plus in the evening and our hotel's cab driver came to pick us up for a fixed charge of THB1000. By the time we settled down, it was already near to 9pm and we went opposite our hotel to have our dinner. We stayed at Salil hotel(recommended by lydia) near BTS Nana Station and the location was awesome :) They have a 24 hour free shuttle service to the main street(3 mins?) which is near the BTS and also pick up from BTS back to the hotel.

After checking in and unloading our luggages, we asked the driver to send us to the main street and we crossed over the road where there are a row of restaurants :) We were too hungry to make a wise decision and we ended up at one of the first few restaurants we saw!



Setting of the place~ I think it's more like a restaurant & bar, with more people coming here for drinks than to settle their meals.

The food was disappointing and it was rather pricey(add up to near SGD80+. I guess it's a place more suitable for drinking :) Oh well, but we were too hungry!

The roadside food looked so much better haha!



There was a small night market there and we walked awhile after our dinner. My first buy from BKK! :D



I really love flowery pouches!!! So sweet-looking and I love to give them to my friends as souvenirs :)

Time to sleep, really tired from school D: Can't wait for Friday to come!

Fish&Co

Fish & Co for dinner with Shu shu and Jianhong, like finally we met up!!

We wanted to have ding tai fung but luckily we didn't cos I just had that 2 days ago! I would usually prefer Manhattan to Fish & Co but after jh introduced me to the grilled fish, I was totally sold to it :P



The sambal sauce was to die for! They are very generous in their portion and I am still very very bloated now!

Taipei Beitou (Thermal Valley, library)

Back to Taipei again! We spent one of the days in Beitou and I didn't regret it because the place is so different from the city area! It's just like a different part of Taipei, the serenity there brings comfort to my soul.

Alight at the Xin Beitou MRT station!





It is very easy to navigate your way around Beitou because they have very useful signs like this! You would also be guided along the way as the signs are all over.





There are 2 places in Beitou that I REALLY REALLY think must go!!

1) Beitou Thermal Valley. It is also known as Hell Valley(sounds frightening~) which is the source that provides the natural hot spring water in Beitou area.

This place is really a gem!





Look at the clouds of steam!!



Steam is super good for the skin and I enjoyed my free "face steaming" session there, I felt so much refreshing after that :P



2)Beitou Library

You might be feeling apprehensive about it but you won't after scrolling through these pictures :P













The library is so awesome!! I fell in love with it at first sight! It's surrounded by lush greenery and you can spend an afternoon there comfortably.

If Singapore has a library like that, I'll probably ace all my exams ^_*

I did some research on it and found out that this is Taiwan's first green library and almost every structure of the building is built with eco-friendliness~ For instance, the library's rooftop acts like a drainage system where it collects rainwater and then, use it to water the library's plants and flush the toilets. How cool is that!!

Can Singapore build a library like this too ?

OOTD: Sophie Crochet Blouse

Had breakfast at 126 dimsum this morning and their food is really mehh~~ It was my second time there and now I am convinced I am not going there for dimsum again!

What I ordered:



The wanton was really deep fried and nothing special~ And their custard buns are not half as nice as swee choon! And a few dishes add up to $18 :O

My outfit for the day :D

Made of cotton and its so comfy that I wouldn't feel hot under the sun! I can promise that the material for this blouse is sooo good!
