Be Merry Collection- The Wallflower Shop

Sharing some of the photos in the latest collection- Be Merry. It's december, the season to be merry and jolly. And the REASON for you to splurge :p

My favourite for this collection would be the Mandy Top! As some of my friends will know, I hardly wear any piece out more than once and if I do, it really shows how much love I have for that piece :P

One of the lazy Sundays when I have decided to park myself at one of the cafes to do some leisure reading. I paired it with the #worntodeath Crochet lace shorts from The Wallflower Shop as well. Love this crochet lace shorts so much that I can really match ANYTHING with it heeee.

On days when I feel girly, I pair it with a high waisted skirt! The top is super stretchy and it definitely will fit most well ;)

Okay enough of the Mandy Top, but let me post a last photo with it! I wanted to dress up for a movie in town and i wore it with a flare pants and surprisingly, the whole monochrome ensemble look so good! I can't believe I wore this 3 times out within 2 weeks heheh. It's such a staple crop top! How to not get it in 2 colours?? The visuals for black can be seen here!

And don't have to guess, my next FAVOURITE piece is Keep Me Comfy Knit Cardigan!! We decided to bring this knit piece in large quantities because it is just SO PERFECT for this rainy season and after I received many praises from my friends for this knit wear.

Too many photos to share for this piece <3 It is so versatile and comfortable I can sleep with it :P

Ok I promise, this is the last photo! I brought it with me during my HK trip and I took so many photos with it!

And the best thing is, it is suitable even during the summer days when you just want to have something cosy to put on at air-conditioned places. The knit is not thick and it will not "stick" onto your skin.

Some of the other pieces in the collection. Don't miss out on the Dressed Down Owl Tee Top because it is so soft and snug, you can wear in on days when you just want something casual but still look good ;)

For readers, here's a special discount code for all of you. Quote "merrymerry" to receive $1 off your total purchase! And did we mention, all our prices are specially discounted in this collection? Everything is UNDER $22! What are you waiting for?

The Wallflower Summer Collection II

We have just launched a collection and I am here to share some of my favourite pieces :D
My top pick would be our Wallflower Pleated Midi Skirt! I am so intrigued by the flower prints and what's more, it's also pleated! You might think that you have enough of midi skirts, but I am sure this one will definitely not disappoint you :P

More photos of the preeeeetayyy midi skirt ^^

Like how light-weighted this piece is <3 And and.. How can I miss out this Basic Striped Top!

So much love for this! I like it that the top is not that overly off-shoulder so that I can wear it safely for work. I will pair it with a plain black A line skirt for work or with a pair of jeans for dress-down days.

More photos taken in Seoul! Ahhh how I miss Seoul because everywhere is so #ootd friendly there :P

Okay my eye bags are kind of heavy in this pic idk why D:

Another favourite piece would be this printed skirt which matches any basic top well! I was so excited to own a piece of this because I was really sick of my plain work skirts and this piece is much needed for the weekend :P There's a hidden elastic band at the waist and its stretchable, giving a nice fit :D

If you haven't check out our new arrivals, here's the link !

OOTDs ( Zara inspired Skorts, Stripe Dress )

Posting some of this week's outfit!

I love this mint pleated skirt a lot! I always have a thing for pastel colours :P Regretted that I didn't get this in more colours!

Basic Top BKK// Mint pleated skirt BKK// Be Glamour Necklace from The Wallflower

Get it here :)
http://www.thewallflowershop.com/be-glamour

This is taken by myself!! My mother was so busy making mooncakes that she doesn't have the time to help me take so I had to self-take. Not bad right? :P

It is a pair of Skorts and it really looks like an old-school kind of skirt. I love wearing skorts because it is not very informal and it helps when I have a lot of stairs to climb in NIE haha!

Pleated Skorts BKK

AND I finally got hold of this pair of Zara-inspired Skorts! Upcoming on The Wallflower :) The material is good and the fit is awesome :D Secretly happy that I resisted my urge to purchase this pair from Zara. It's really a staple piece to keep :)

Skorts upcoming at The Wallflower// Knit top from Love Bonito// Burberry // Tiff & Co

Another piece that I simply adore is this dress, launching next week or end of this week !! I didn't manage to capture the back of the dress, but it is a keyhole back detail with button :)

Dress upcoming on The Wallflower// Belt from HK// Armani

Stay tuned to the 2 awesome pieces!! Meanwhile, follow The Wallflower on instagram and participate in the contest now! (Details on FB&Instag)

OOTD @Taipei

Was at Taipei last week and here are some of my #ootd posts! So happy with all my buys that I was too excited to wear them out before returning to SG :)

Maxi dress with a slit at the legs, which makes me more ladylike! haha

If you have seen this on my fb, it was taken at the Taiwan's National Palace Museum. It was such a beautiful place and it was a pity I forgot to bring along my cam :< Top from zara/Skirt in lilac from tw :D

If you have noticed, the background is exactly the same as the first one! Taken at Ximending's Red House which is just nearby my hotel which explains the same backdrop :P

Gona call this lollipop off-shoulder top because of the vibrant rainbow colors :D I knew I have to get it when I saw the top, totally in love~

*Super nice* backdrop! Taken in Keelung, will blog about the places I went soon :)

Top and skirt from tw. Skirt is only NT100!!

Last one is this ombre top in blue from tw too, casual but photogenic hehe. I was in the Museum and they require the public to wear their slippers, so that explains why I was wearing that :)

I should prolly have a flea market soon to sell some of my clothes to make room for new ones :P Anyone interested??

Shopping in Taipei

Favorite time for all girls; Shopping!

I am going to share some of the shopping heavens in Taipei and make you broke haha.

1) Taipei 五分埔 (Wufenpu)
MRT: HouShanPi

Yes! I believe almost everyone has heard of this shopping heaven where they sell wholesale clothes, accessories, bags, shoes... at v cheap prices! Almost every stall has a NT100 (SGD$4-5) rack that sells old designs/apparels that have not-so-obvious "flaws" (if you don't mind) They sell summer clothes during the period of March-Oct and they have summer sales during Oct as they bring in their winter clothing. During winter, there is nothing much to buy except for accessories, long pants/jeans and cardigans :)

Usually you can bargain a bit with them because they will charge NT50-90 more. For example, a top with a wholesale price of NT300 will be quoted to you at say NT380.

These pictures generally show the shops in Wufenpu; there are so many alleys and hidden corners that you would probably lose your way. Most of the time, I take 4 hours to finish my shopping in WufenPu....might even be longer :P

2) Taipei 101 & ATT 4 FUN

MRT: Taipei City Hall

Taipei 101 is definitely not one of the best places to shop at but its iconic status in Taiwan makes it an almost mandatory destination. So,I'll share about my shopping experience there anyway!

Most of the shops in 101 are luxury and designer boutiques (Gucci, Prada, Tiffany & Co. etc.) and there is also a ZARA outlet. Honestly, there wasn't anything new to see here because whatever brands you can find here can already be found in Singapore. However, from my experience, luxury products are cheaper by SGD20-80 than in Singapore but the amount varies across different brands.

I've bought stuff from Tiffany and Co there and the prices here are slightly cheaper:)

If you're travelling on a slightly tight budget, you would probably be restricted to mostly window shopping :P Or head straight to their foodcourt at the basement for a variety of nice food after tiring your legs out heh.

You could of course head up to The Observatory on the 89th floor for NTD400 provided if the weather is good. (I did not go up because I was told my the surprisingly honest ticketing lady that visibility was very poor on that day).

After 101, you can cross the road to this shopping complex ATT 4 FUN. They have nice cafes where you can have your tea break ;)

Next few mentioned are night markets which offer wide selection of clothes/shoes/accessories. To me, different night markets have their own type of stuff and prices might differ, esp if the night market is catered for students, prices would be more wallet-friendly.

3) 士林夜市
MRT: Jian Tan

Prices quoted are slightly more expensive because they mostly cater for tourists. There's a birkenstock outlet too at the end of the street.(I've heard that the prices here are definitely more worth than SG ones!) There's also a few shops selling cheap nail stickers and nail accessories~ Easy to spot :P

4) 师大夜师
MRT: Tai power

Clothes, shoes etc are considerably cheaper here because they cater to students. Nice fashion boutiques with affordable prices! Leggings are super cheap. Plus shoesssss~~

5) 西門盯
MRT: Ximending

Very crowded. A lot of shophouses for all sorts of stuff you are looking for. But, prices there are more inflated, need to bargain! There's a uniglo and havaianas outlet there. Slippers are cheaper in tw than sg:) I think my previous 4 pairs are all bought here~

These 3 night markets offer more shopping selections compared to the rest in Taipei. Hopefully you will find it useful :D

There are also shopping malls like Sogo, Hankyu, Shin Kong Mitsukoshi, Q square but they are just like Singapore OG, BHG, Metro, Isetan... If you don't mind going to avoid the heat outdoors...

Thats all for all the cheap shopping places in Taipei! If you are looking for any designer brands specifically, you can try searching the outlet in shopping malls!

Have fun shopping in Taipei xx
