High tea to go in Bangkok- The Tea House

I have always wanted to go for a high tea buffet in Bangkok but the cafes are enough to overload me with sugar. However, this time round, I had an opportunity to dine at The Tea house, situated in Bangkok at Chang Chui Plane Market!

Fun fact- High tea has no fixed timing in Bangkok because Thai people can have desserts at anytime of the day! I had mine before I even ate my lunch!

The Tea House is just situated near the plane area and its easy to find. It looks really cosy from the outside!

The interior of the cafe doesn't disappoint right! The furniture used and the marble flooring!
<3>

First thing first- SPOT THE SWEET THINGS!

They source their materials from Europe and recipes from France. Are you already tempted ? =P

Sorry that I have not reached the FOOD because I am too amazed by the small little details of the place. Oh man just look at the tea cupssss!! The manager was telling me that all their tea cups are brought back from overseas trips made by the boss. Can I have all these in my future house toooooo

Ok I should stop drifting~~ THIS is the high tea menu! Its definitely more than enough for two people!

The manager was very kind to serve me their signature award winning dessert plate which is called the Rainy Day. I heard that the chef won some award in one of the competitions held in Korea!
Its so intricate. Spot the cloud and the rain droplet! The rain droplet is actually macademia nut coated with honey!! Its a fruit jelly inside which SJ loves it!

Was served drinks thereafter. The cold drink is Mango Passion Soda and the pot of tea they selected for me was fruity and lemon green tea. FYI, all their tea is imported from France! They have a HUGE selection and you are entitled to 2 pots of tea from the menu. The soda is especially refreshing in the hot weather!

And the tea set is served! The lower tier- scones and croissants. I LOVE the caramel croissants! Doesn't lose out to Tiong Bahru Bakery ones heh. Middle tier- a variety of cakes. There's tiramisu, strawberry shortcake, lemon and chocolate cake. My favourite is the lemon one!! Its not too sour and I like that their cakes are not too sweet. Have tasted a lot of cakes in life and I dare to say they put in a lot of effort in their pastries and not your-next-door cakes HAHA.

Upper tier- There were 2-3 more macarons with another slice of chocolate cake! I was more focused on the note hehe.

Overall, I really like the atmosphere of the place. Just me and my partner sipping tea and eating sweet things, having a nice chat in the cosy tea house. A quiet and fruitful afternoon spent :D We were very full after that even though we did not have our lunch.

The staff were very attentive and would help us to refill our teas.

Highly recommend their high tea at The Tea House at a pocket friendly price tag !

They have 2 outlets in Bangkok. One of them is in Thong Lor now but I heard they are shifting pretty soon to a bigger place!
