I just can't wait for the 3 mid-terms to be over this week so that I can enjoy myself in kenting over the weekend! Thinking of the beach, the sand, the sun right now...

HK Day 2
Back to HK Day 2!
We went to Australian Dairy Farm to have our breakfast in the morning. We don't usually wake up for breakfast, but it's an exception that day because there were many good reviews of the restaurant and I've decided to check it out ;)
We didn't expect a long queue since it was already late 10plus in the morning, and people should be either working/studying at that hour but I was wrong! There was quite a queue but it moved very fast and there's a reason behind this...(mention later on)
We queued for 20 mins before it was our turn, and we were both v hungry already!
Their menu
They offer set menu, mainly 3- Breakfast, lunch and one for all day.
We ordered 2 of the breakfast sets as the people around us were all eating the same stuff.
The breakfast set consists of macaroni with sliced ham, toast with scrambled eggs and either tea/coffee. The food was decent and homely but the concept of their breakfast was special I thought. Their scrambled eggs was really t-a-s-t-y!
This dessert was to die for!!
They have 2 kinds of dairy milk dessert, and we ordered the almond egg yolk pudding, so goooooood!! I prefer it to be served hot, really warms your stomach up.
If I am going back to HK again, I would like to try the other signature dessert- Steam egg white custard (sounds good right?:P)
Oh... but back to their service.. It was quite horrible I felt because they were too efficient till I felt stress to finish my food fast. Within a few minutes after we sat down, they came to take order from us and they were quite impatient when serving customers like they were racing against time. This explains why the queue moved really fast haha! But I guess HK people are very used to it... Cos almost everywhere, things are done v fast.
After breakfast, we walked around Jordan (the restaurant is near Jordan MRT) and behind me was one of their "flea" markets.

As there was nothing much at Jordan in the morning, we headed to "Elements Mall" at Kowloon to shop at H&M. The H&M was quieter there and more sizes are available in the outlet.
After shopping, we walked to West Kowloon Waterfront Promenade for some sight-seeing. Rather disappointed because it was under construction and we didn't get to sight-see. Took some photos still...
It was evening after we left the place and our next stop was central. Had wanton mee and a roadside eatery there but 1 bowl still costs $5 still... But the portions of fish-balls and wanton were generous
We were surrounded by looming sky-scrappers; HK truly lives up to its name as the "Financial Centre Of Asia"! Working people rushing here and there...
We queued near to 2 hours for the peak tram as it was super crowded!!! People were squeezing and pushing one another, so awful!
We went for Madam Tussands Museum first and left the Victoria Peak to the last. Here are some of my fav photos taken with some of the celebrities :P

I had fun taking photos in the museum and the wax-figurines are like 99.99999% as real as in person! Haaha
Ok.... So what was the highlight of the day (Victoria Peak) turned out to be the biggest disappointment. It was raining in the day hence it was all cloudy and we couldn't see anything except CLOUDS :< There's a staff there in charge of photo-taking, and she said the background can be changed -.- I mean of cos we wouldn't want to take photo with just clouds and having a fake background! So, I promised myself I will be back to see the peak when I'm back at HK again! On a personal note, I feel that the staff should warn the crowd that there's REALLY NOTHING up there instead of giving people the false hope, queuing and purchasing tickets. At least when I was in Taipei 101, they warned us that the weather was bad and asked us to re-consider. Oh well...
Nevertheless, the day was well-spent too :) Till the next xx

Au Chocolat at MBS
So it was Vday and the mister asked me to decide what I would like to eat and w/o much hesitation, I chose Au Chocolat! A lot of people have been raving about their food and I've decided to give it a try:) We decided to celebrate a day earlier to avoid the crowd.
It was a weekday and it was pretty quiet during their lunchtime and it was perfect! Looking at their chocolates makes me drool, esp when girls have a "thing" for nice packaging :P
Had a hard time deciding what to eat because there's too many choices. They serve all day breakfast, burgers, sandwiches, pastas and savories.
To be on the safe side, I chose their signature-Au Chocolat benedict with poached eggs on top of english muffin, with ham, and drizzled with their own hollandaise sauce
And because I wanted to try their pancakes too, Alf ordered their Chef recommendation's hearty Au chocolat pancakes served with ham, bacon and scrambled eggs. I find their pancakes a bit dry though, but I love their scrambled eggs :)
The best part has not yet to come!
This was the BEST truffle fries I have eaten so far, so crispy and it was seasoned very well with the truffle sea salt!!! This is the MUST order when you are there. Trust me, you won't regret it :p It was even crispy after a few hours when I took it home as we couldn't finish everything!
We were so full but I still wanted to order their chocolate cake because of the much rave about it. Let me present to you the Au Chocolat Tower cake which Alf got a shock when he saw the waiter bringing to our table. It was such a big piece that a group of 5-6 people can share!
The photo is still doing injustice to the height and depth of the cake hahaha!

I really enjoyed the vday lunch at Au chocolat and I swear I will definitely go back again for their fries and other desserts!

Hongkong Disneyland, where dreams come true
Welcome to the magical world of DISNEYLAND! Every child's wish to see their dreams and fantasies coming true. The moment I stepped into Disneyland, I felt that I am back to a little girl again and have entered into another world. It was my first time in Disneyland and I really enjoyed myself.
Everything about there- Music, themed places, Disneyland stores, characters, food and the rides just make you totally feel that you are in another world and those fairytales and stories actually came alive. It is just like dreams coming true.
We went there on the second last day because it was raining cats and dogs during the few days we were there and luckily it was sunny when we were there :)

Walked into one of the stores and of cos... Being bimbotic and camwhoring with the cutesie hairbands <33 The mister looked v gay here hahahaha

Just after we reached there not long ago, we caught the "Flights Of Fantasy Parade" and there were only 2 timings on that Sunday. This is when the floats will tour the park and all the Disneyland characters will be coming out to greet the people. Dancers wore the costumes of the various Disney characters and the kids were mesmerized~
The BEST part was queuing to take photos with the characters and I was telling Alf that I don't want to go home w/o a photo with minnie and mickey!
I love the photos with mickey and minnie the most as the photos were taken the best and clearest by the staff there :) They were very friendly and helpful!
We had no time to take photos with all of the characters because we reached there late and we were rushing to watch the Golden Mickeys show! We can't possibly miss this show cos its the highlight!!

The ONLY ride that we took was a boat ride at the "It's the small world" area. Ok, don;t judge me, I am really afraid of rides :P

We bought a Minnie ice-cream after dinner and their ice-cream was so yummy with strawberry and chocolate flavors. Although it was a tad too expensive for an ice-cream, we really enjoyed it :)
Bye Disneyland, thanks for all the memories and fun you have given me! I can't wait to visit Disneyland in other countries now :D
The loots that we bought from Disneyland. I feel like buying everything in the store cos it was way too cute but due to budget constraints, I am happy with all these :))
Disneyland will never be completed. It will continue to grow as long as there is imagination left in the world.
